Opposition lies about transfer of judge exposed: Justice Muralidhar says that he had no objection against transfer by collegium

New Delhi: Justice S. Muralidhar broke his silence today, which exposed the lies being spread by the opposition concerning his transfer. He clarified that he had no objection against the collegium for his transfer.

The opposition spread the lie that Justice S. Muralidhar was transferred from Delhi High Court because he asked the police to take action against BJP leaders during the riots.

Justice S. Muralidhar has been transferred to the Punjab-Haryana High Court intimidated by the collegium in a letter dated 17 February.

While speaking at the full-court reference, attended by all the judges of Delhi High Court, the justice said, “The collegium letter had been issued on 17th Feb. I had clarified to the Collegium that there was no objection.”

The central government had issued a transfer notification on 27 February. The opposition quickly took advantage of it and made it into a huge controversy by blaming the government for transferring the justice for vengeance.

Congress party and many activists raised the issue and lies were propagated against the Central government to tarnish its image.

Law Minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad, clarified that the decision of the collegium was already taken well before the riots even began in Delhi.

The issue now settles once and for all as Justice Muralidhar himself has come out to say that he had no objection against the transfer of the collegium, which was taken earlier.

His statements have yet again exposed the lies being perpetrated by the opposition parties and activists.
