New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday was touched and got emotional after hearing to a beneficiary of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) via video conferencing.
Deepa Shah, was suffering from paralysis a couple of years ago, and is now recovering from the generic medicines provided under the scheme.
She told PM Modi the scheme has been very helpful and could save Rs 3,000 on medicines by buying from the Janaushadhi Kendras.
Janaushadhi Divas (Generic Medicine Day) is observed every year on March 07 to create awareness about the use of generic medicines. It started on March 07, 2019.
