Bhopal: After joining the BJP, the former Congress leader and scion of the Scindia royal family, Jyotiraditya Scindia, was nominated for the Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh as member of the saffron party.
Jyotiraditya Scindia formally joined the BJP today at the party headquarters in New Delhi. He thanked the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, Home Minister, Amit Shah, and party President, J. P. Nadda, for inducting him to the family.
After Scindia resigned from the party, 22 MLAs loyal to him resigned from their posts putting the Kamal Nath-led Congress government in a minority position on the floor of the Assembly house of Madhya Pradesh.
