New Delhi: The Union Home Minister has asked the police chief of Delhi to take strict action against the landlords who are demanding doctors and nurses to vacate the houses they are staying for rent.
Dr. S. Rajkumar, General Secretary of Resident Doctors Association (RDA), said, “Amit Shah personally called RDA of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and assured that any such issue of ostracisation will be taken seriously and action will be taken immediately.”
The RDA had earlier asked the Union Home Minister to take action against those landlords who are trying to evict healthcare professionals from homes and also blocking their transport facilities since the COVID-19 outbreak began.
The Union Health Minister, Harsh Vardhan, also expressed his anguish about the reports from Delhi, Nodia, Warangal, Chennai etc that doctors and nurses are being ostracised from residential complexes and societies.
