Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother, an epitome of simplicity, Hiraba Modi on Tuesday donated Rs 25,000 from her personal savings to the recently developed PM CARES Fund to fight the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
Prime Minister’s younger brother Pankaj Modi said that their mother deposited the money in the PM-CARES Fund.
“Earlier, she had made a contribution of Rs 5,000 for the relief operations in Jammu and Kashmir after devastating floods. Now, she has donated Rs 25,000, which she had saved over the years, to fight coronavirus,” said Pankaj Modi.
