New Delhi: The Congress is taking every chance when it comes to praise worthy of the interim party president Sonia Gandhi. A few days ago they hailed her with revered slogan like “Maa Tujhe Salaam” and now it has reached to the extent of comparing her with Goddess Sita.

A Twitter handle “With Congress” which itself claims as an online initiative by the volunteers of Congress, shared an image that brings Sonia Gandhi in comparison with Goddess Sita.

The image stated that Sonia Gandhi alias Antonia Maino, who has roots in Italy, Goddess Sita, too, had roots in Nepal. It also stated that in Tretayug, a ‘rakshas’ (demon) had questioned Goddess Sita’s character and insulted her while in Kalyug, a ‘rakshas’ has questioned Sonia Gandhi’s character and abused her.

Interestingly, The “With Congress” Twitter handle is followed by verified handles such as official Congress account, Congress leaders Digvijaya Singh, Alka Lamba, journalists like Rahul Kanwal, Gargi Rawat and also Aam Aadmi Party leaders like MLA Raghav Chadha, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor etc.

The Congress is now at the forefront to hail Sonia Gandhi after Republic TV’s Editor in Chief Arnab Goswami was attacked by their party workers for questioning Gandhi over her silence on Palghar Lynching case in Maharashtra. Maharashtra is ruled by Shiv Sena with the alliance of Congress.
