Bhubaneswar: According to reports, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik dialled up Prime Minister Narendra Modi late midnight emphasizing the need for the test kits to be delivered before the morning of the following day, that is within six hours.
Patnaik requested temporarily re-opening any one of the major airports in Maharashtra such as Pune, Nashik, or Mumbai airport, and use an Air Force flight to deliver the Coronavirus test kits to Bhubaneswar, says reports.
After the conversation, PM Modi swung into swift action and with immediacy the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) issued official orders and faxed to concerned authorities. In the unexpected action, Nashik airport was reopened temporarily and an Air Force flight airlifted the test kits to the capital of Odisha, reported OpIndia.
In the early hours, the Odisha Government vehicles were ready and carried the test kits to different places.
