New Delhi: Two Border Security Force personnel have lost their lives who were battling against the deadly coronavirus. At the same time, 41 fresh cases have been reported on Thursday.
Now the total number of cases among the force stands at 193, while two have recovered.
Eighty-five BSF personnel tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday. This was the highest spike in Covid-19 cases in a day in any of the paramilitary forces.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed grief on the death of BSF soldiers.
He tweeted, “Deeply pained to know about the loss of our two brave @BSF_India soldiers, who were battling COVID-19. I join millions of Indians in mourning their untimely demise. Condolences to the bereaved families. May God give them strength to withstand this tragic loss. Om Shanti Shanti.”
