New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday observed that the States must consider sale of liquor by the means of Home Delivery or inculcate indirect sales.
A bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan, Sanjay Kishan Kaul and BR Gavai said while hearing a petition challenging the opening of liquor shops by various state government.
Liquor sale was permitted in Orange and Green zones in the country as part of relaxing the lockdown norms. However, people did not abide by the lockdown norms.
Some states including Kerala did not re open liquor shops in view of violation of lockdown norms.
