New Delhi: India witnessed a biggest spike in coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours and the count reached 67,152 on Monday.
4,213 cases only reported in the last 24 hours according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The number of deaths in the country reached 2,206 on Sunday. Active cases in the country rose to 44,029 while 20,916 patients have been cured and discharged and one has migrated.
Maharashtra has been severely affected with the virus infection with 22,171 confirmed cases and 832 deaths, followed by Gujarat with 8194 confirmed cases and 493 deaths.
