Yesterday, Prime Minister had video conferencing with Chief Ministers regarding the ongoing coronavirus situation in the country.

“We have a twofold challenge – to reduce the transmission rate of the disease, and to increase public activity gradually, while adhering to all the guidelines, and we will have to work towards achieving both these objectives”, he said in the meeting.

Prime Minister further said now the effort should be to stop the spread of the COVID-19 to rural areas. He said the new way of life would be on the principle of “Jan Se lekar Jag Tak”, from an individual to the whole of humanity.

Nation awaits prime announcement by PM Modi.

Coronavirus cases in India surged to 70,756 after 3,604 more cases reported in the last 24 hours said the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Railway services starting Tuesday will run to full capacity, while leaving it up to the passengers to maintain social distancing on board, and to states to decide the protocol on arrival. More than 54,000 passengers made reservations for their train journeys within three hours after the Indian Railways opened booking on Monday.
