New Delhi: India recorded new highest ever single-day spike of 20,903 coronavirus cases in 24 hours on Friday, said the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
With the new cases reported, India’s tally now stands at 6,25,544 including 2,27,439 active cases while 3,79,892 patients have been cured or discharged.
Also, the country reported 379 more deaths due to coronavirus taking the total tally to 18,213.
Maharashtra is the worst affected state with a total of 1,86,626 cases including 8,178 fatalities.
