New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday extended his birthday greetings to Defence Minister and cabinet colleague Rajnath Singh.
PM Modi said that Rajnath Singh’s wisdom is greatly beneficial to the Government and he is at the forefront of efforts to build a strong and secure India.
PM Modi tweeted, ” Birthday wishes to Shri @rajnathsingh Ji. Rajnath Ji’s wisdom is greatly beneficial to the Government. He is at the forefront of efforts to build a strong and secure India. He has always worked for the welfare of the poor and our hardworking farmers. Praying for his long life.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also wished the Defence Minister saying, “his vast experience and organization skills has made invaluable contribution in empowering the government and the party.”

Rajnath Singh previously served as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and as a Cabinet Minister in the Vajpayee Government. He was the Home Minister in the First Modi Ministry. He has also served as the President of the BJP twice i.e 2005 to 2009 and 2013 to 2014.
