New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday appointed Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, who is also a Lok Sabha MP, as its president of Ladakh unit.
Namgyal, 35, made headlines for his powerful speeches in Parliament. He is also a first-term MP from Ladakh. The post of the president was vacant in the Union Territory after Namgyal’s predecessor resigned.
Minister of State for External Affairs, V Muraleedharan congratulated Namgyal and said that his inspiring leadership will motivate each Karyakarta.
