Jyotiraditya Scindia takes oath as Rajya Sabha MP

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party leader Jyotiraditya Scindia on Wednesday took oath as a member of the Rajya Sabha.

Rajya Sabha chairperson M Venkaiah Naidu administered the oath to 45 of 61 members newly elected to the upper house.

Scindia before taking oath, met senior Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad and Digvijaya Singh and greeted them.

“I took oath as a member of the Rajya Sabha. I thank the state (Madhya Pradesh) BJP workers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, national president JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and BJP’s leadership for giving me this opportunity,” he tweeted in Hindi.
