New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid tributes to freedom fighters Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Chandra Shekhar Azad on their birth anniversary.
” I bow down to the two brave sons of Mother India, Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Chandra Shekhar Azad on their birth anniversary,” PM Modi tweeted in Hindi.

India observes 164th birth anniversary of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, a freedom fighter, social thinker, philosopher and teacher. He said the famous quote, ” Swaraj is my birthright and I shall have it.”
Chandrashekhar Azad was one of the greatest Indian freedom fighters. He is a pioneer of Bharatiya Independence. His courage and patriotism inspired several people of his generation. It is said that he was the mentor of Bhagat Singh.
