AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi who always gets irked on Hindu activities has now reminded Prime Minister Narendra Modi of secularism.

Owaisi has said that for 400 years Babri masjid stood in Ayodhya and it was demolished by a criminal mob in 1992.

Taking to Twitter, he said, ” Attending Bhumi Pujan in official capacity will be a violation of @PMOIndia‘s constitutional oath. Secularism is part of the Basic Structure of Constitution We can’t forget that for over 400 years Babri stood in Ayodhya & it was demolished by a criminal mob in 1992.”

In an interview with Outlook India, he said, ” Babri Masjid is a mosque and it will always remain as one. This is my faith. That cannot be taken away from me or anyone. Had the Masjid not been demolished on 6 December 1992, I don’t think this judgment would have come. History will remember what happened in December 1949, when the idols were placed surreptitiously in the Masjid and the events that led to the demolition in 1992. As far as Muslims and people who believe in justice are concerned, we will keep telling the new generation that our masjid was demolished. It doesn’t matter if our voices are suppressed. We will tell it in our own way.”

On August 5, the Ram Mandir trust will be organising a bhoomi pujan to mark the beginning of the construction of the Ram Mandir.
