New Delhi: Minister of State for the Department of Space Jitendra Singh on Sunday said that Chandrayaan-3, India’s mission to Moon, would be launched in early 2021.
He said that Chandrayaan-3 will be a mission repeat of Chandrayaan-2 and will include a Lander and Rover but will not have an orbiter.
Chandrayaan-2 was launched was launched in September 2019 and ISRO had planned to launch the third in 2020 but the plan had to be postponed due to the unprecedented coronavirus pandemic.
"Launch of Chandrayaan-3 may now take place somewhere in early 2021," says Minister of State for Space Dr Jitendra Singh.
