Patna: Former Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey on Sunday joined Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s JD(U), ahead of the Assembly elections.
He had triggered speculations of joining Janata Dal (United) after he voluntarily retired from the service.
Gupteshwar Pandey has always been a vocal supporter of Nitish Kumar. He had made headlines after his remarks against Rhea Chakraborty in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
Bihar will go for polls in three phases on October 28, November 3 and November 7 and the results will be announced on November 10.
