Thiruvananthapuram: The state recorded highest ever single day spike of 7445 cases of coronavirus today. At the same time 3,391 recovered from the disease.
The total case tally in the state now stands at 1,75,384.
21 more deaths were reported in the state today, taking the death toll to 677.
Kozhikode recorded the maximum cases with 956 followed by Ernakulam 924, Malappuram 915, Thiruvananthapuram 853, Kollam 690, Thrissur 573, Palakkad 488, Alappuzha 476, Kottayam 426, Kannur 332, Pathanamthitta 263, Kasaragod 252, Wayanad 172, Idukki 125.
Of these confirmed cases, 62 people arrived from abroad while 309 from other states. 6,404 people contracted the disease through local transmission.
Kerala reported 99,999 cases this month alone. The situation continues to worsen day by day.
