New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated six mega prphects amounting to Rs 521 crores under the Namami Gange Mission in Uttarakhand.
While speaking at the event, PM Modi launched a scathing attack on the Opposition for protesting against the three bills passed by the Parliament.
PM Modi said that the nation can see how they are opposing without any reason. He said that those opposing the Farm Bills do not want the farmers to sell their produce in open market instead they want the middleman to earn profit. He added that they are opposing the freedom of farmers.
Pointing out on the burning of tractor on Monday at the India Gate, PM Modi said, ” They are insulting the farmers by setting fire to the machines and equipment that is worshipped by them. For years, they said that they will implement MSP but they never did. This was done by our govt as per the recommendation of the Swaminathan Commission.”
Accusing the Opposition of misleading the farmers, PM Modi said, ” Today these people are misleading farmers over MSP. There will not only be MSP in the country but also the freedom for farmers to sell their produce anywhere. But some people are unable to tolerate this freedom. Their one more medium to earn black income has come to an end.”
Talking about the allegations raised over Rafale aircraft by the Congress party, PM Modi said that these parties did not do anything for the welfare and empowerment of the security forces.
“For years these people (opposition) didn’t do anything to empower our security forces. Air Force kept asking for Rafale but they never listened to them. When our govt signed a contract with France Govt for Rafale aircraft they started having a problem,” he said.
The very same people also opposed the One Rank One Pension policy of the Government, whereas the Government already paid dues of over Rs 11,000 Crores in the form of arrears to the pensioners of the armed forces.
PM Modi said that the people opposing reforms for the sake of doing it are losing relevance day by day. He recalled how they had opposed the Bhumi Pujan of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya after opposing it in the Supreme Court.
The Prime Minister listed various initiatives of the Government like Jan Dhan bank accounts, Digital India Campaign, International Yoga Day which were opposed by the opposition in spite of the benefits accrued to the people at large.
He said these are the very same people who criticised the surgical strike and asked the soldiers to prove that there was a surgical strike. PM Modi said this makes clear to the whole country what their actual intentions are.
