New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday wished India’s President Ram Nath Kovind on his 75th birthday.
PM Modi said that President Kovind is extremely compassionate towards serving the vulnerable.
“Birthday wishes to Rashtrapati Ji. His rich insights and wise understanding of policy matters are great assets for our nation. He is extremely compassionate towards serving the vulnerable. I pray for his good health and long life,” PM Modi tweeted.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended his birthday wishes to the President.
Shah tweeted in Hindi, “Happy birthday to the honorable President Shri Ram Nath Kovind ji. I wish you good health and longevity.”

Ram Nath Kovind was sworn in as the 14th President of India on 25 July, 2017. A lawyer by profession, he had been the Governor of the State of Bihar before he took over the highest constitutional office. President Kovind brings to the office a rich experience of working across the spectrum of the republic, from the grassroots to the apex court and parliament. He has been an ardent champion of equality in society and integrity in public life.
