Chandigarh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the much awaited world’s longest highway tunnel the ‘Atal Tunnel’ in Rohtang, Himachal Pradesh.
Atal Tunnel is the longest highway tunnel in the World. The 9.02 Km long tunnel connects Manali to Lahaul-Spiti valley throughout the year.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and Army Chief General MM Naravane were also present on the occasion.
