Firozabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader DK Gupta was shot dead by three bike-borne assailants on Friday evening in Firozabad outside his shop in Narkhi.
He was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to death during treatment.
The three accused have been arrested by the police and are being questioned.
“Three bike-borne men fired at D K Gupta outside his shop. He was declared brought dead by hospital. The accused were arrested by police & are being questioned,” said Sachindra Patel, SSP, Firozabad.
The BJP leaders are targeted by the rivals and for a few months now, the country has been witnessing several killings of the BJP leaders in different parts of the country.
