New Delhi: The country recorded only 55,722 new infections in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health. At present there are 75,50,273 cases of which only 7,72,055 are active cases while 66,63,608 people have been recovered.
The death toll has climbed to 1,14,610 with more 579 deaths being reported in the last 24 hours.
India’s recoveries from the coronavirus disease have moved past the 66 lakh-mark on Monday. Also, for the third consecutive day, the active cases of COVID-19 remained below 8 lakh in 1.5 months.
