New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday upheld the Centre’s plan for construction of the Central Vista project and proposal to construct a new Parliament in Luytyen’s Delhi.
The judgement was pronounced by Justice A M Khanwilkar, who was heading the bench. The bench was constituted by Justices AM Khanwilkar, Dinesh Maheswari and Sanjiv Khanna with Justices Khanwilker and Maheswari forming the majority.
Earlier, the court had given permission for ‘Bhumi Pooja’ and ‘Shilasthaan’ of the new Parliament building.
