New Delhi: The first consignment of the Covid-19 vaccine reached Delhi and Chennai from Pune on Tuesday.
The Tamil Nadu Health Secretary J Radhakrishnan in a statement given to ANI informed that “5.56 lakh vaccine doses have been dispatched from Pune. The dispatch details of remaining 20,000 doses of Covaxin are yet to be received”.
The Covishield vaccine for Delhi reached the Indira Gandhi International Airport on Tuesday.
The first set of the vaccine consists of 34 boxes and weighs 1,088 kilograms, were dispatched from the Serum Institute of India at Pune in the early hours of Tuesday.
