Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has hinted that the age of marriage for women will be raised in the state. He was speaking at the ‘Samman’, a campaign to ensure women’s safety. He asked why women should get married after the age of 18 when the age limit for men to get married is 21.
Violence against women in the state has come down drastically in the last eight months. So far, 7,100 missing girls have been found and handed over to their parents, he said.
The government has decided to create a special report card for cases of missing children. This report will include all information related to the case investigation. Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that every 15 days, the station house officers would include new information in the case in the report.
