Kolkata [West Bengal]: After Suvendu Adhikari and several others leaders, another Minister from the Mamata Cabinet stepped down from the position. Forest Minister of West Bengal Rajib Banerjee submitted his resignation to the Governor of the state on Friday.
Banerjee has now joined the league of leaders who stepped down from the government in recent times. Earlier TMC leader Suvendu Adhikari had resigned from the post of Transport Minister and had joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Rajib Banerjee has not mentioned the reason for his decision. However, the resignation of Banerjee has created more headache for Mamata Banerjee as elections for 294 Assembly seats are all set to take place later this year
