Forensic team reaches the Serum Institute's Manjari Plant

Pune [Maharashtra]: A forensic team from the Maharashtra state government reached the Manjari plant at the Serum Institute of India a day after fire broke out.

The under-installation building at the Terminal 1 gate in SII caught fire at about 2:45 yesterday. The fire claimed the lives of five employees and has caused severe financial loss for the Institute.

Following the casualties, the serum Institute announced a compensation of Rs 25 lakhs to families of the deceased.
