Punjab [India]: The Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Tuesday condemned the violence in the capital city Delhi and asked the farmers to immediately get back to the borders. He requested the farmers to return to borders and continue the protest peacefully.
“Shocking scenes in Delhi. The violence by some elements is unacceptable. It’ll negate the goodwill created by peacefully protesting farmers. Kisan leaders have disassociated themselves and suspended tractorrally. I urge all genuine farmers to vacate Delhi and return to borders”, said the Chief Minister in a tweet.
Following the chaos and tension at Delhi, the government of Punjab has ordered a high alert in the state.
