New Delhi: The Delhi police registered a Sedition case against the protestors involved in the violence at Red Fort during the tractor rally by farmers. In a statement given to PTI, a senior official told that a case under sec 124(A)- sedition- of the Indian Penal Code has been registered and the incident is being investigated.
Earlier the Delhi police had served notice to over 20 farmer leaders in connection with the chaos and had asked them reply within three days. This is following the violence in the capital city on Republic Day when thousands of protesting farmers breached into the ITO area and resorted to violence and vandalised of public properties. The group targeted the police officials and hoisted a regional flag at the national monument.
