New Delhi: The Parliament Budget session will begin today amid the Covid restrictions and ongoing farmers protests. The Budget will be presented on February 1 by the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman.
The session will be conducted adhering to strict Covid protocols and restrictions. Ahead of the session, every member will have to undergo a Covid test. Sources have confirmed that no MP has been tested positive till now.
Opposition parties had earlier confirmed that they have decided to boycott the President’s address in solidarity with the protesting farmers. The first part of the session will be till February 15 and the second part will be from March 8 to April 8.
