Uttar Pradesh Government has given final shape to its decision to pay 25 % incentive to doctors, paramedics and sanitary workers and also decided to appoint large scale para medical staff on honorarium to fight against Covid-19.
Both these proposals have been approved by the cabinet. An order has also been issued in this regard here on Thursday.
On the instructions of CM Yogi, doctors, nurses, para medical staff and sanitary workers in covid Hospitals, whether regularly appointed or on an outsourcing basis, are currently being paid 25 per cent extra on the basic salary or honorarium being paid to them.
Incentive money will be given to MBBS interns, MSc nursing students, B.Sc nursing students, MBBS final year and GNM students who are posted on daily honorarium as per requirement in covid Hospitals.
Principal Secretary of Medical Education Department Alok Kumar said here on Thursday that this incentive amount will remain in force from May 1 to July 31, 2021.
Private sector and retired doctors, nurses, para medical staff will also be engaged on honorarium basis. They will also be paid 25 percent additional incentive money thereon.
The cabinet decision says that 10% additional incentive will be paid to the workers deployed for testing of covid-19 samples in state hospitals. Payment will be made on the basis of duty days performed in dedicated covid wards and covid testing labs. The period of active quarantine will also be added to duty days.
For the services of private sector and retired doctors, nurses, para medical staff, the release will be published centrally by the concerned departments, but the recruitment process will remain decentralized.
