A record 1014.53 metric tonnes of oxygen has been supplied throughout Uttar Pradesh during the last 24 hours.
Besides, 96.97 metric tons of oxygen has also been supplied through air separators units under self production.
A total of 27.9 metric tonnes of oxygen was also supplied through cylinders in the last 24 hours to 4105 patients in Home Isolation.
Giving a detailed account of the supply of oxygen throughout the state in the last 24 hours, state Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Avnish Kumar Awasthi said here on Wednesday that 619.59 MT of oxygen has been supplied to the refilers by the Department of Food Safety and Drug Administration.
Mr Awasthi informed that 113.13 MT was given in Kanpur, 65.71 MT in Varanasi, 49.58 MT in Prayagraj, 252.56 MT in Meerut, 56.20 MT in Moradabad, 77.03 MT in Agra, 51.37 MT in Gorakhpur. Around 136.20 metric tons of oxygen was supplied in the last 24 hours in Lucknow.
It is noteworthy that on the instructions of the Chief Minister, online monitoring of the oxygen supply system is being done through a special control room set up in the Home Department to fulfill the demand of oxygen in the state.
In this control room, senior officials and employees of Home Department, Food Safety and Drug Administration, Medical Education, Medical Health and Family Welfare and Transport Department are working continuously for 24 hours in coordination.
