Telangana registered 3982 fresh coronavirus cases until 1730 hours on Tuesday to increase the state’s tally of COVID-19 cases to 5,36,766 till date.
The state recorded 27 fresh fatalities due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the death toll so far to 3012 translating a case fatality rate of 0.56 per cent as against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.1 per cent, according to the bulletin issued by the Office of the Director, Public Health and Family Welfare here today.
A total of 5186 people have recuperated from coronavirus statewide in the past 24 hours to push the cumulative number of recoveries to 4,85,644 constituting a recovery rate of 90.47 per cent while the national recovery rate was 85.6 per cent.
The active cases in the state presently stands at 48,110, the bulletin said.
In all, 71,616 samples were tested in the state during the last 24 hours to detect the contagious virus out of which the results of 2149 swab samples are awaited.
Cumulatively, 1,41,95,932 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state so far since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
