Assam Govt. to give free supply of power to newly set up oxygen plants in state

The Assam government has decided to give free power supply to the newly setup oxygen plants in the state. The decision was taken in a cabinet meeting held today headed by the Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The government has decided to supply 100 percent free power supply to closed oxygen plants that wanted to start operations.

The cabinet has also taken many other decisions which include according cabinet status to the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong, Dima Hasao and Bodo Territorial Council.

Informing the decisions, Keshab Mahanta, senior cabinet minister said that a committee has been set up under the chairpersonship of Finance Minister Ajanta Neog to build a roadmap in employment for 1 lakh youth of Assam.

Pijush Hazarika, the Information & Public Relation minister, and health minister Keshab Mahanta had been chosen as the cabinet’s spokespersons.

The government also decided to appoint Debojit Saikia as the new Advocate General of Assam.
