Maharashtra government has decided to relax some restriction across the 17 districts in the state, including five of Marathwada region, as Covid positivity rate declined less than 10 per cent in these districts.
Aurangabad, Parbhani, Hingoli, Latur and Nanded are the five regions in Marathwada where restrictions will be lifted. Restrictions will remain as it is in three districts, Jalna, Osmanabad and Beed.
All shops in Aurangabad district will be open from 7 am to 2 pm. District Collector Sunil Chavan issued the order in this regard last night.
The District Collector has warned stern action against those who leave their houses after 3pm and also against the traders who keep their shops open. Malls, hairdressing salons, religious places will remain closed.
The order further stated that hotels and liquor shops are allowed to continue with their partial service. All other establishments in Aurangabad district will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays except for essential services.
Report from Hingoli district stated, E-commerce and courier services will continue in district. The Agricultural Produce Market Committees in the district, all shops related to agriculture, vehicle repair shops, shops etc. and establishments will be open from 9 am to 6 pm.
In Parbhani district, agricultural shops will be allowed to operate all day of the week from 0700 to 1500 hours. Essential services in both the districts will be open from 7 am to 2 pm.
Restrictions will remain in place in Osmanabad district. Only agricultural services and banks are allowed to continue until 2 pm. The curfew imposed in the district will now be applicable only on Sunday.
While in Beed district strict restrictions have been imposed upto June 15 in view of large numbers of positive cases. In the past 24 hours, 1394 positive patients and 72 deaths were reported in the region.
