Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday said that third vaccination drive across the state would be started soon.
Speaking to reporters after cabinet meeting, he said the ‘Tika Utsav’ 3.0 would be aimed at inoculating maximum number of people in the age group of 18-44 years.
He said the Tika Utsav held earlier had witnessed good response and through Tika Utsav 3.0, attempt would be made to vaccinate maximum people of 18-44 years age group.
The Chief Minister criticised the opposition parties and alleged that they were unnecessarily targetting the government when the vaccination drives were getting good response from the public.
On Ivermectin tablets, Dr Sawant said it (Ivermectin tablets) were not purchased as the proposal for the same was pending with the state government.
Earlier, Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane had announced that the Ivermectin tablets would be given to all adults in the state. But the state government was caught in a bind as the Centre dropped the tablets from the list of Covid 19 drugs.
