In a major decision the Odisha government has decided to recruit transgender in the Police services Director General of Police Abhay said Odisha Police Recruitment Board has decided to recruit 477 Sub Inspectors of Police and 244 Constables (Communication) of Odisha Police Signal Service on contractual basis.
The DGP said the transgender candidates are eligible to apply for both the categories of posts.
He said while a candidate applying for the post of Sub Inspector must have a minimum bachelor degree qualification in any discipline , the candidates applying for Constable post must have passed the Plus two examination .
The online application process for the recruitment will commence on June 22 and the last date of online application is July 15.
The recruitment process will consist of three parts- computer-based multiple choice questions in the online mode, physical standards measurement and physical efficiency test.
