Dr Tamilisai Soundarajan, Lieutenant Governor and Chief Rector of Pondicherry University (PU) on Friday inaugurated the Covid Care Centre at PU.
According to a PU release, this special health care facility has been created with 60 beds along with oxygen concentrators.
It is pertinent to note that the University had provided the required space and building for setting up the Covid Care Centre.
This facility will cater to the needs of the faculty members, officers, staff and students of Pondicherry University and their families on priority basis for treatment.
Further, this facility will be open and useful to the residents of the neighboring villages like Periya Kalapet, Chinna Kalapet and Pillaichavaday.
The PU had so far arranged three special vaccination camps. PU Vice-Chancellor Prof.Gurmeet Singh presided over the function.
