Even as controversy within Uttar Pradesh politics refuses to end , a senior party leader in the name of Congress has sought public fund in his own bank account for helping people in the pandemic.

Earlier the party had to face embarrassment when a media report revealed that state party president Ajay Kumar Lallu and media chairman Nasimuddin Siddiqui met Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow . But it was softly denied by them.

Later, a senior Congress leader Sunil Rail lodged FIR against Lallu over threat on his life from him.

Meanwhile, on Sunday another controversy emerged when its media and communication coordinator Lallan Kumar gave an advertisement in a local Hindi newspaper on Sunday seeking donation in the name of party for the people suffering from Covid.

The Advertisement has photo of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and state president Ajay Kumar Lallu.

But the interesting part of the advertisement was that the people have been asked to make donation through PayTM or BHIM app along with NEFT or RTGS on the account number of Lallan Kumar.

The bank account number of Lallan Kumar was also given in the advertisement.

Lallan has sought donation for three works — sanitization drive, Har Ghar Ration and Sabki Maddad.

Meanwhile , UP Congress president Ajay Kumar Lallu flatly denied about party’ s role in seeking donation for helping people during the pandemic.

“It is against the party’s ideology for publicly seeking donation by advertisement ” he said on phone from Kushinagar.

“I will look into this matter and seek a report on it,” he said with admitting that such thing is an anti- party act.
