A fully grown leopard intruded inside a house in the Krishna Nagar area of Shimla and attacked a youth, injuring him seriously on Monday.
Later the feline was tranquilized by the wildlife rescue team inside the house.
Police sources said they got information that a leopard entered inside the house of Gaurav Jaswal and attacked him, his mother, and pet dogs in the house.
A rescue team of police and forest department rushed to the spot and taken the victims to IGMC Shimla. In the leopard’s attack, Jaswal suffered injuries on his forehead and limbs. Later, the wildlife officials tranquilized the big cat.
The unconscious leopard which appeared to six to seven years old was rushed to state wildlife rescue center Tutikandi in an iron cage.
The injured was discharged from the hospital after first aid and Rabies vaccination and he is out of danger now.
