Cabinet formation : Five new ministers take oath in Puducherry

Puducherry, Jun 27(UNI) :    The newly appointed five Ministers in N Rangaswamy Cabinet in the Union Territory of Puducherry were sworn-in on Sunday afternoon.

Lt.Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan administered the oath of office and secrecy to the Ministers at a simple function in front of the Raj Nivas abiding Covid appropriate behaviour.

The Ministers who took oath are K Lakshminarayanan, Theni C Jayakumar, Chandirapriyanga ( all from N R Congress) and A Namassivayam and Mr.Sai J Saravanan Kumar (both from BJP).

Chief minister N Rangaswamy, Assembly Speaker R Selvam, legislators, senior N R Congress, AIADMK and BJP functionaries and senior officials of the territorial administration are among others who participated in the swearing-in ceremony.

After the swearing-in ceremony, all the Ministers went to the legislative assembly and assumed office in their respective chambers and their supporters greeted them with garlands and shawls.
