New Delhi, Jul 1 (UNI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the 340.824-km long Purvanchal Expressway in August, state’s Infrastructure and Industrial Development Minister Satish Mahana informed on Thursday.
Addressing a virtual press conference, Mr Mahana said, ‘The construction work of Purvanchal Expressway is almost complete and will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in August.’
Mr Mahana informed that 95 per cent of the work of Purvanchal Expressway has been completed.
The 340.824-km long and 6-lane wide access controlled Purvanchal Expressway will connect Chand Saray village near Gosainganj in Lucknow district with Haydaria village on NH-31 in Ghazipur district.
According to Awanish Kumar Awasthi, Additional Chief Secretary and Chief Executive Officer, Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA), the Purvanchal Expressway with a total project value of Rs 22,494 crore will get functional next month for the development of the remotest eastern region.
