New Delhi: Domestic flight charges will become more expensive in the country as per reports. It will come into effect from Friday. Flight charges will be increased 12.5%.
Airlines are given 7.5 percent more service permission. Number of flights will be increased from 60 percent to 80 percent. Travel capacity will be increased from 65 percent to 75 percent.
In last June, flight expenses were hiked 15 percent. Economic crisis and increase in the aviation fuel are the reasons for hike in the airfare. This is the fourth time the flight expenses are increased.
Currently, domestic flights are given permission for services but scheduled international flights are stopped temporarily. But special international flights have been operating in air bubble created in connection with 28 countries including UK.
