New Delhi: Interpol has issued red corner notice against fugitive industrialist Mehul Choksi. Interpol has issued notice on request from CBI. Mehul Choksi absconded from India in connection with Punjab National Bank scam. Mehul left India and holed up in Antigua in January.
The red corner notice grants permission that any of Interpol’s 192 member countries can detain Mehul Choksi if he is found anywhere in their country,
Main accused in the case is Nirav Modi, Mehul Choksi’s nephew. Mehul and Nirav is accused of involving in 13,500 crore fraud case.
Interpol had already issued red corner notice against Nirav’s sister Purvi Modi and brother Nischal Modi.
