New Delhi: Alok Verma has been removed again from the post of CBI Director. The decision was taken by the select committee led by the PM. Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge opposed the decision while A K Sikri favoured the removal. N Nageswar Rao has been appointed as interim chief.
The crucial decision was taken by the select committee after a two hour long meeting.The committee went through the Central Vigilance Commission Report in detail. As reported by PTI, Alok Verma has been removed from the high-profile post on the charges of corruption and dereliction of duty.
Severe allegations raised against Verma as he has excluded a name from FIR purposefully. Numerous cases were found against Alok Verma’s actions.He has influenced Moin Qureshi case probe. The CVC report also makes it clear that Verma has taken Rs. two crore bribe.
