New Delhi: The massive fire in the hotel Arpit Palace claims seventeen lives. The fire broke out early this morning and the reason for the mishap is not yet known. Two Malayalis went missing in the incident.
Jayasree, native of Chottanikkara died in the fire and Vidyasagar and Nalini Amma, both natives of Cheranellur reported missing.
Twenty Five fire fighters rushed to the spot soon after getting a call at 4.30 in the morning. Rescue operations are underway. Death toll may rise as many people were severely injured. Thirty Five people were rescued and the injured have been taken to hospitals for treatment.
