According to the report the SC refused to intervene in the matter after the producers’ lawyer informed the court, before the argument began, that a similar plea is pending before the High Court of Kerala.
The SC bench comprising Chief Justice DY Chandrachud asked the petitioner to approach the Kerala High Court concerning the petition against the movie.
Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind’s petition to the Supreme Court accused the move The Kerala Story of defaming a particular community and misinterpretation of facts, the report said.
